16th International Conference on Sustainable Construction and Nano-Technology Advanced Fire Safety, HVAC-R and Built Environment
The NTC Annual Conference serves as a dynamic platform where pioneering ideas and innovative solutions converge to address pressing challenges in business, society, academia, and politics in Egypt. With vibrant networking opportunities for knowledge exchange and collaboration, Cool Up is excited to contribute discussions on cooling technologies and low GWP refrigerants. Organized by the Housing and Building National Research Center Egypt, 16th edition of the conference will take place in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
On the opening day of the event, Cool Up will host a panel discussion featuring Dr. Mohammed Boyoumy (UNDP), Dr. Ezzat Lewis (National Ozone Unit), Dr.Norhan Eldallal (IDG) and Sara Ewida (UNDP Egypt) focusing on the theme of “Sustainable Comfort: Environmentally Friendly Cooling in MENA Hotels and Hospitality.”
The session will begin with an introduction to the Cool Up programme, highlighting its multi-level, multi-sectoral approach, key achievements, and ongoing activities in Egypt. The panel will also examine the current state of the hospitality sector in the MENA region and how hotels can adopt sustainable cooling practices through practical adjustments to existing systems.
Speakers will explore how these solutions align with Cool Up’s four-pillar approach—policy, technology, finance, and capacity building—and how this integrated strategy supports hotels in achieving energy efficiency, reducing emissions, and enhancing guest comfort.
The session will bring together a diverse group of participants, including hospitality stakeholders from Sharm El Sheikh, cooling technology manufacturers, and academics, offering a platform to exchange experiences, explore collaborative opportunities, and build momentum for climate-friendly solutions in the tourism sector
