Financing and industry stakeholders from Türkiye were invited to the Thematic Group Meeting (TGM) organized by the Cool Up programme to provide a platform for key stakeholders from different sectors to exchange knowledge and discuss jointly how to overcome barriers in the sustainable cooling transition in Türkiye.

Topics of discussion included standards on acceptable refrigerants, presentation of financing of conventional RAC technologies in the market, and governmental incentives towards personnel training, manufactures and end-users.

Participants of the Thematic Group Meeting included finance sector representatives such as Akbank, Garanti BBVA, Şekerbank, İş Bankası, EBRD, cooling sector representatives such as SOSIAD, ESSIAD, ISKID, ISKAV, ISIB, TTMD as well as retail sector representatives like PERDER.
