With the aim to foster regional cooperation for energy and climate transition in Southern Eastern Mediterranean Counties, Mitigation Enabling Energy Transition in the Mediterranean region (MeetMED) II project launched the first edition of MeetMED Week. With the title Together Towards Efficient Buildings and Appliances in the Mediterranean, the event took place from 28 – 31 March in Cairo, Egypt and was streamed online.

In the context of the MeetMED Week Cool Up’s Eslam Mahdy and RCREEE presented on 26 March at 16:30 Cairo time at the event Training Course and Study Tour on “District Cooling in the South Mediterranean Countries” in Cairo. The presentation covered the Status of Sustainable Cooling in MENA Region: Insights from the Cool Up Programme.

On 30 March at 11:20 Cairo time Katja Eisbrenner and Andreas Hermelink (Cool Up) joined a MeetMED Week panel entitled ‘Efficient Appliances’ to Facilitate Energy Transition in SEMCs.
