Cool Up Deliver Sustainable Cooling Training for Finance Sector in Turkiye
Focus on natural refrigerants, financial feasibility, and sustainable cooling finance under Cool Up
The event addressed urgent priorities, such as the transition to natural refrigerants, financial feasibility studies, and taxonomy for sustainable cooling finance, which are essential for aligning Türkiye’s cooling sector with global sustainability goals.
The cooling sector accounts for a significant portion of Türkiye’s energy consumption, with natural refrigerants offering a potential reduction of direct and indirect emissions by up to 55% by 2050 . The training highlights that financing sustainable cooling solutions aims to catalyze investment in energy-efficient technologies, driving both environmental and economic benefits.
Looking forward, this initiative lays the groundwork for expanding technical capacity and awareness, ensuring the finance sector’s active involvement in promoting sustainable cooling technologies across Türkiye.
