The meeting took place in the offices of the Royal Scientific Society in Amman, Jordan. The steering committee is composed of representatives from the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources, Ministry of Agriculture, Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization, Ministry of Public Works and Housing/Jordan National Building Council (JNBC) and Jordan Customs Department.

This is the second round of stakeholder consultation in the process of the development of the National Cooling Strategy in Jordan, planned to be adopted in November 2023.

The NCS identifies key strategic areas for upscaling sustainable cooling in Jordan and provides a framework for the National Cooling Action Plan that will be developed consecutively, describing concrete policy actions for the country.
