Cool up defines sustainable cooling as affordable and safe cooling that satisfies the user needs with the lowest possible impacts on the environment. Specifically, our scope covers solutions that does not use environmentally harmful refrigerants (like fluorinated gases), have very low energy demand, and are ready for a fully renewable energy supply. The Cool Up programme focuses on enabling a cooling market transformation towards such sustainable cooling technologies.
